“The Other Shoe” - Fucked Up

Alright, ready yourselves, because we have a boatload of Fucked Up news. This is the first single (and it’s free!) off of their new album, David Comes to Life, a rock opera due out June 7th. Yep, rock opera. The album’s website is up, complete with the album art, names and dates of the three future singles, a cast of characters, and what looks like the beginning of the first act.

Also, check their blog Looking for Gold for some lengthy background info on the album and it’s creation, including this little nugget thrown in at the end: “There are a lot of different things that are going to be happening over the next few months - lot’s of little 7”s and special shows and things to pay attention to.” Everything about this sounds incredible, and it looks like Fucked Up are going to be making a lot of noise in the second half of 2011 (our European friends already have something else to look forward to).
