“Night Light (demo)” - The Mountain Goats

To celebrate Transcendental Youth release day, the much-loved Mountain Goats frontman and Twitter whiz John Darnielle has taken to the Mountain Goats Twitter [link] and put on an all-star tweet performance. The feed is full of typical Darnielle wit, a baby pic or two… and this, an early demo of album track “Night Light.” Though we did not get a demo cassette like the one we get with All Eternals Deck (not complaining, great things were still included), we got a demo nonetheless. And, much as the demos on that cassette were, this one is quite a wonderful, raw, stripped down track worth playing during those small bits of time between listening to Transcendental Youth [purchase link] and the new Flying Lotus album everybody is loving on.
