“Lenticular Cloud” - Lone
Matt Cutler, returning as a bona fide electronic champion from this year’s release of Galaxy Garden, has come forth with “Lenticular Cloud,” a fantastical synth drama peppered with an undercurrent of percussion that drives the technological cumulus into a template similar to the material found on Garden. Cutler is calling “Lenticular Cloud” a new track, but the arrangement ends up feeling more like an addendum to Garden rather than an expansion of style. Fans looking for more radically new material might be in luck: Lone has discussed the possibility of dropping a cover of the song for Sonic The Hedgehog’s bonus level (link) on his Facebook page. You can buy Galaxy Garden from R&S records (link).
