“Shallow” - Beach Fossils

Via Spin, we read Dustin Payseur promising “something really noisy,” spiting what he feels is the safeness of pretty indie rock today (I’m paraphrasing, obvously). Our first taste of this new mentality is “Shallow,” a track that didn’t make the album but did make the upcoming 7” as the A-side. Those dream pop vocals are still intact, but I suppose i can see something I little noisier in those guitars. It’s still very much a Beach Fossils’ track, so if you were a  fan of What A Pleasure, nab this track and, once February 21st rolls around, pick up the 7” from Captured Tracks. [link]
