“Friends of Friends” - Hospitality [Video via Stereogum (link)]

A week, folks! That’s how much time you have before the Merge Records pre-order disappears for Hospitality’s eponymous debut, so what are you doing wasting time here? Watching their new video for “Friends Of Friends,” you say? Sure, it’s a pretty lax take on hasty break-ups and dudes-who-make-poor-life-decisions, and hey, I’m a fan of the song myself. Visual quirks and carefree appearances aside, Hospitality is smoothly produced and an excellent entry into your albums that fit the mood of sanguine and cloudless days; Amber Papini’s sharp voice and delivery alone is enough to spend a few hours smiling. Fans of the band should go download “Betty Wang” off of the band’s soundcloud [link] and grab a hold of the aforementioned pre-order that features a download of the band’s EP and a few nifty postcards [link]. If all of that doesn’t satiate your lust for Hospitality’s craft, you can hop on over to Daytrotter and finish out your Hospitality-themed day in downloadable style [link].
