“Heavy Metal” - White Rabbits

In what’s already becoming an exciting first quarter in 2012, the White Rabbits have entered the picture. “Heavy Metal” is the first track on the album, and it feels quite subdued. The rhythm is methodical, but calls back for attention occasionally with a thump of the drum or a stuttering synth. It’s far less audacious than a song like “Percussion Gun,” which can be a good thing. It feels more layered, like each member of the six-piece band is getting into the action. The aforementioned album is called Milk Famous and will be released on March 6th via tbd Records [link].
