“The Sun And Moon” - Cursive
Cursive frontman Tim Kasher is certainly no stranger to setting up elaborate stories within his albums, with his 2010 solo release The Game Of Monogamy being a cuttingly knowing modern fable of problematic familial relationships and the upcoming Cursive release I Am Gemini detailing the dichotomous relationship between the brothers Cassius and Pollock. In typical Kasher fashion, the first song to be featured from I Am Gemini is appropriately infectious in the awkwardly delivered, vocally-edgy fashion that Kasher manages to project so well. Rolling Stone is hosting a free download of the track, so make sure to head over there and grab a digital slice of I Am Gemini, which is planned to drop on February 21st via Saddle creek records.
